The Pisound Micro is incredible. I am developing a hardware synthesizer on a Raspberry Pi for the first time, and I could not find any sort of audio hat or sound card for the Pi that had both MIDI I/O and audio I/O capability & wasn’t going out of production. Then Blokas announced this project around April 2025, right when I was starting to lose hope. The Pisound Micro does everything I need it to, and more! I can route high quality external audio into the Pi for sampling and control the synth with MIDI. At first I was worried about soldering the headers myself, since I haven’t soldered in about 15 years and my skills were never great to begin with. After purchasing smaller (leaded) solder, a smaller tip, and watching a few YouTube videos, I’m glad to say I was able to confidently solder two sets of headers each onto two Pisound Micros without any trouble, all working successfully the first time. I will confess I eventually managed to fry one of the cards, but that was entirely my own fault for not consulting the Pisound Micro documentation while making changes to the wiring and mixing up another unrelated set of instructions. It wasn’t a big deal and more of a learning experience, especially since Blokas ships very quickly. I would probably pay for pre-soldered headers if the option were available just to help speed up production time for each synth, but I can also appreciate the flexibility of the user being able to decide their appropriate header configuration for each project. All around a great product, and I can only hope it continues to be manufactured for years to come so I can use it in my line of synthesizers! Thank you Blokas!

I found in Pisound Micro all what I was expecting in a great product: amazing features and specifications, great documentation and an awesome support from blokas team. Thanks to Pisound Micro, I was able to build a modep controller to setup pedalboards without relying on an external computer or audio interfaces. After designing a PCB which perfectly fits my pisound micro, I was able to expose audio inputs, outputs, midi, headphones, some footswitches, buttons, pots, a led screen in a enclosure and after some development work is now a reality that I use everyday. I truly love pisound micro and the infinite possibilities it brings for us, diy audio enthusiasts and musicians. Absolutely love it!

I have become an early beta tester for Pisound Micro after purchasing the original Pisound board and asking Blokas how I can disassemble it and fit it into my project.
Pisound Micro turned out to be everything I needed from Pisound: small profile, insane amount of pins and nothing soldered on.
I could place the Pisound Micro next to the Raspberry Pi in a 3D printed case, saving loads of space. Also, I soldered just what I needed and now I have the basics of a groovebox.
Even at an early Pisound Micro development stage the documentation was clean, clear and thorough. I had no problem figuring out how to use the pins.
After having the Pisound Micro for some time I have many ideas on how to improve my project, making it more robust, smaller and user friendly. This is all thanks to the flexibility of Pisound Micro.
Having all this pro-audio power in such a small thing still boggles my mind!
